I recently had the opportunity to participate in a networking event that was a refreshing change from the typical gatherings I’ve attended. Titled “Networking with a Twist,” this event brought together diverse attendees who were divided into two groups. We were given 20 minutes to go through a series of questions within our groups. The person who finished the questions on time was rewarded with the opportunity to pitch any idea they had.
This experience, what I like to call “Speed Networking,” was both fun and different. The structured format allowed me to engage with multiple people in a short amount of time, and the questions provided were a fun way to break the ice, get to know new people, and share tips, ideas, and experiences. It was a unique and effective way to network, offering a lively and interactive environment that encouraged active participation and collaboration.
Overall, the networking event was a great opportunity to connect with others, learn from diverse perspectives, and potentially explore new opportunities. The “twist” added a layer of excitement and challenge, making it a memorable experience that stood out from the usual networking events.
